I'm currently reading an MSt in English and American Studies at the University of Oxford. In 2019 I graduated from Durham University (consistently ranked #1 for English Studies in the UK) with a First-Class Honours BA in English Literature, including a year abroad at the University of Hong Kong, where my cumulative GPA was 3.57. I'm academically successful at my subject, so I know what it takes to achieve outstanding results at GCSE and A-level; but I also have a genuine love for literature and languages, as you will quickly see as one of my tutees. Studying abroad gave me an additional year to expand my areas of interest, and I've been lucky to study a range of humanities subjects at university, especially British, American, and Chinese literatures, French, philosophy, classical civilisations, and visual studies. I have an in-depth knowledge of English literature from the Early Modern period to the present, so I'm well-equipped to help you cultivate original interpretations of a text and craft thoughtful structured essays. I have previous experience designing and delivering English courses for 14-16 year olds in-class, and have worked as an assistant teacher at an academy in France. I'm committed to a career in teaching, as well as to helping my tutees improve their grades, learn something new, and develop a passion for the arts. If you have any questions or inquiries please don’t hesitate to ask.
