I am a composer. I obtained my DPhil in Composition from Oxford University and have extensive experience in teaching music, including Orchestration, Counterpoint, Harmony and Analysis.
I have obtained a total of 20 international composition awards, including the Jean Sibelius Prize in Finland, the Isang Yun in Korea, the National Auditorium Music Award – BBVA Foundation (Spain) or, just a few months ago, the Osgood Memorial Prize from the University of Oxford. In the juries of these contests composers such as Tristan Murail, Kaija Saariaho, Harrison Birtwistle or Unsuk Chin have valued the formal clarity, coherence and sound appeal of my compositions.
As a tutor I like to help my students to develop their musical thoughts in a coherent and attractive manner.
I like to help the student in as much as possible during the tutorial sessions. So each session is taylored to the needs of the student.
