After completing my bachelor's degree in Geography and my master's degree in International Relations, I am now about to complete my training as a geography teacher with Oxford University. I have a good understanding of geography in general but also hold specific knowledge of how to teach a range of geography syllabuses. I also understand how to effectively help any student to reach their full potential in the subject of geography.

Asking effective questions to check student understanding and develop their thinking around a topic.
Setting of Independent Tasks
Setting small independent tasks with 'challenge' activities that match to a student's level of attainment. These tasks can include going through past papers and looking at mark schemes to hone exam skills.
Reviewing of key knowledge
At the end of a session I will ensure the key learning aims have been met by asking the student the key questions that they need to be able to answer.
