I have deep interest I academic work and have just completed an AHRC funded PhD in Literature between the Royal College of Art and the University of Cambridge. I also have a First-Class degree in from the University of Oxford and an MA degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
I am passionate about the importance of education and through practice I have learnt how crucial it is for the tutor to tailor their approach to fit the learning style of the individual student. In 2019-20 I was a teaching fellow at the university of Cambridge, supervising English Literature undergraduates. I have also worked extensively as a private tutor in London and have taught a range of students from primary to degree level. I am attentive to their needs and have an empathetic approach to teaching. I work to build their confidence in their educational ability, to help them master the skills needed to excel academically and to foster their enthusiasm for learning.
I particularly specialize in preparing students for the school entrance exams, which I have done both through weekly one-to-one tutorials as well through residential placements. I have also run two 11+ revision course at Parliament Hill School. Previous students have received offers from many of the leading independent schools, including Westminster, St Paul’s Girls, Godolphin & Latymer, City of London and Eton. I also teach Religious Studies and English at GCSE and A-Level and have helped a number of students receive A* grades. Additionally, I have successfully prepared students for their Oxbridge applications.
