I am an MPhil student at the University of Cambridge, where I research the theological role of Hindu religious magazines and periodicals. I completed my BA at the University of Oxford in Theology and Oriental Studies (Sanskrit). While doing my BA, I also attended the University of Wisconsin’s South Asia Summer Language Institute for further intermediate training in Sanskrit. Before university, I completed A-levels in Religion, Classical Civilisation, and English Literature. I firmly believe that my combined experience of literature, religion, and philosophy at university and A-levels makes me an excellent tutor with specialised subject knowledge covering a broad range of fields. I also have teaching experience for Religious Studies and English Literature from when I tutored students for GCSE and A-level at a weekend school in north-west London between 2016 and 2018.
At university, I was a student representative at my department, where I advocated for and was part of the access initiatives for BAME students. These initiatives also included Oxbridge interview training workshops and mentoring students personal statements.
I regularly present my research on Sanskrit literature and religion in the media and pop culture at international conferences. As a result, I am also confident in tutoring students on their presentation and public speaking skills.
