Dear Sir or Madam, 

I am currently a Legal and Political Theory (MA) student at the University of Warwick and tutoring in French for Manning's Tutor. Thanks to my international background, I have taught foreign languages in England and Japan. I am a Turkish/French dual citizen and studied at the International School of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which is one of the most prestigious schools in the country. It provides a dual curriculum in 12 languages in a fast-paced and demanding environment. There I studied in French and Italian, winning in 2014 one of the most prestigious awards in education, the Concours Général, in Italian. From there I moved to London where I graduated in politics with a First Class degree and a nomination to the Dean's list. 

Since 2014, I have taught French to pupils in small groups and one-to-one. They could be as young as 4 all the way up to 15. I learnt how to manage a class, explain the topic as clearly as possible and identify the specific difficulties of each pupil. Most importantly, I learnt how to think on my feet and adapt the course to meet the pupils' needs. Thanks to that experience, I taught English for a month in Tokyo at the Otsuma Women's University. The challenges, in that case, were even higher but the results were equally satisfactory. I realised for example that more than language there were other barriers that got in the way of mastering the language such as timidity or not having the proper presentation skills. 

Having experienced it myself, I am more than aware of the stress of final year examinations in secondary schools. I also know what it's like to come from abroad to study in the UK. I would like to help pupils not just by sharing my knowledge of the topic but also by giving them tips on local life or presentation skills.
